Pepperwood Preserve
A 3,200-acre private reserve that offers guided geological excursions, jam-making workshops, art exhibitions, and more. Note that pets are not allowed on the property.
The Petrified Forest
A park showcasing petrified redwood trees from the Pliocene Epoch, 3.4 million years ago, through self-guided tours available daily. Note that dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times.
Jack London State Historic Park
A home and ranch of the renowned author, Jack London, for visitors to enjoy tons of outdoor activities. Check out their website to take advantage of the free 1-hour docent tours available on the weekends.
Robert Louis Stevenson State Park
A park that offers challenging terrain with rugged forests and canyons, including a five-mile hike to Mount St. Helena's summit and amazing panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay. Note that dogs are prohibited in this park to safeguard its wildlife and preserve its natural resources.

A family-owned winery that is a known destination for wine tasting, weddings, and events. Private tastings range from $45 - $75 and may last for 60 to 90 minutes.
